SNOWBOWL SIXTH BEST SEASON COMES TO AN END

Flagstaff, AZ – April 5, 2008

All good things must come to an end and so has the winter of 2007-08 at the Arizona Snowbowl. With the warm temperatures and only one snow storm in March, typically the snowiest month, Snowbowl’s last day of the season will be Sunday, April 6.

“We announce we would open next weekend, April 10-13, if the attendance was strong for this weekend. During the four day weekend, the estimated skier count will be less than 2,000 visitors,” states J.R. Murray, Snowbowl’s GM. “We want to thank all the skiers and snowboarders for a wonderful season and all the support shown.”

He continues, “Obviously with the good season and so many days of great skiing, most have had their fill of skiing and spring fever has taken over. People want to be on the trails, not on the slopes.”

What started out as a huge challenge in finding employees, Snowbowl hired over 650 employees, a record. But the employees were strong and they could not have done it with out them.

In the 2007-08 season, Snowbowl was open 112 days. Their opening day was on December 13, 2007. This season they received 240 inches of snow, 20 feet, with consistently great snow since the opening day.

For the final day, Snowbowl will have the Agassiz, Sunset & Hart Prairie lifts in operation from 10 am to 4 p. Lift tickets will be $25 for Adults and $15 for Juniors.
